Critters for a Cause
A Note from the Nordic Staff
Many of us have experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer, or have battled the disease ourselves. The Lafayettes and their staff, after losing several loved ones, decided to take on the challenge to raise 2 million dollars to hire researchers, purchase equipment, and open the Lafayette Family Cancer Center, for the research and treatment of cancer. We do this in honor of those who have passed away. We can reach this goal, with your help!
Nordic Village proudly sells "Critters for a Cause". Adorable Teddy bears and stuffed moose are available for $20* each, and the proceeds will go directly to the cancer center.

Second Annual Apple Pie Baking Contest
When: Columbus Day weekend - Saturday, October 9th
We invite our guests to celebrate the fall season by participating in the Nordic Village apple pie baking contest! Judging will be Saturday afternoon. An entry fee of $10 per pie will be collected and the proceeds will go to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center.
The winner will receive a certificate for a two night stay at Nordic Village. Call now to sign up for the contest!
We are having a party and you're invited!
We will have block parties scheduled for Saturday the 3rd of July, Saturday the 14th of August and Saturday the 4th of September. The block parties feature a bouncie house, face-painting and lawn games for the children, a barbecue to benefit the Lafayette Family Cancer Center, music, and our traditional bonfire.
